Jok - Amazing Thailand pattern
This involves weaving a single scarf, requiring the expertise of two skilled weavers. The challenge came from Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Sukhothai, requesting 100 scarves with the “Amazing Thailand” logo woven into them. The design for the Jok weaving of the logo was first created, and then skilled weavers specialized in Jok weaving executed the initial design. Once the Jok part was completed, another set of skilled weavers, proficient in weaving plain tablecloths, took over the process to complete the rest of the scarf. This collaborative approach continued in a cyclical manner until the entire order was fulfilled. The weaving process utilized the unique skills of each weaver, blending them together seamlessly.
